Bench- and table scales
A bench scale, also called a table scale, can have varying character and properties. Common is that bench scales often have a maximum capacity of 30kg, possibly 60kg. Accuracy can vary from around 10-20g and down to 0.001g on a precision balance and even more accurately on analytical balances. What can also distinguish one bench scale from another is the material it is made of and the IP rating it has. The functions can also differ, because under this category we find both simple check scales and advanced scales such as counting scales and precision scales with, for example, density weighing as a function.
